How to Make Beet Powder

- 9 Beets, raw, peeled and sliced 1/8-1/4 inch
Place sliced beets on parchment-lined baking sheets. Or place beets on a cooling rack placed inside of a parchment-lined baking sheet.
Place baking sheets into a preheated 200°F oven for 4 hours or until beet slices are completely dried and are crisp when broken in half. Take care to make sure that the beets DO NOT BROWN.
Working in batches, pulverize dried beets in a spice grinder until they turn into a fine powder.
Store powder in an airtight jar in the refrigerator. Adding an oxygen absorber to the jar can be very helpful. The Beet Powder should stay fresh for about 6 months. To use Beet Powder, add 1 teaspoon to eight ounces of water and blend well. Add ice, if you wish, and enjoy.
