Servings: 6 servings
- 1 tbsp Ghee Alternatively, you can use olive oil or a combination of olive oil and butter.
- 1 cup Rice, preferably long grain white rice
- 1/2 pound Thin spaghetti, broken into 1/2"-1" pieces Alternatively, you can use regular spaghetti.
- 1 small Yellow onion, peeled and grated
- 1 small Garlic clove, peeled and grated
- 1/2 tsp Salt
- 1/2 tsp Turmeric
- 1/4 tsp Freshly ground black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon Dried parsley Alternatively, you can use 1 1/2 teaspoons of fresh parsley finely chopped.
- 2 cups Chicken bone broth or chicken broth Alternatively, you can use beef bone broth, beef broth, or vegetable broth.
Place a skillet on the stovetop and set to medium heat.
Add the ghee to the skillet and allow it to melt.
Once the ghee is melted, add the thin spaghetti and rice to the skillet and sauté until lightly golden, approximately 2-3 minutes.
Add the onion and garlic and continue to sauté until fragrant, approximately 1-2 minutes.
Add the salt, pepper, turmeric, and parsley to the skillet and stir.
Add bone broth or broth to the skillet. Stir and bring up to a boil.
Once the mixture comes up to a boil, place a lid on the skillet, turn the heat down to medium or medium low (you do not want the mixture to boil), and allow to simmer for approximately 20 minutes until the bone broth or broth is absorbed and the rice pasta mixture is light and fluffy. (See video.)
