Homemade Pine Cleaner
Equipment
- Half Gallon Jar
- Coffee Filter or Clean Cloth
- Rubber Band or String/Twine
Materials
- Pine clippings Enough to halfway fill a half-gallon jar
- 1/4 – 1/2 cup White sugar
- Filtered water, chlorine-free See "NOTES" below.
Instructions
- Place pine clipping into a half-gallon jar to fill the jar to halfway full.
- Pour a 1/4 cup sugar into the jar over the pine clippings.
- Fill the jar with filtered water to three-quarters full.
- Cover the jar lid with a coffee filter or clean cloth and secure with a rubber band, string, or kitchen twine.
- Each day, remove the coffee filter or cloth and stir pine clippings mixture with a long wooden spoon or chopstick. (See the video.) Re-cover jar with the coffee filter or cloth and secure.
- After a few days, you will notice that the mixture will begin to bubble. This is a good sign that the fermentation process is beginning. The mixture has begun it's journey to becoming vinegar.
- After a more few days, if the bubbling dies down, you can add in another 1/4 cup of sugar and stir well.
- After the second addition of sugar, there will be no need to add more sugar, even though the bubbling will begin to subside again. At that point, the fermentation process is well on its way, and the mixture is becoming vinegar, so there will be less activity visible in the jar.
- Repeat this process for 30 days.
- After 30 days, strain the liquid from solids and decant the liquid. This liquid is pine-scented vinegar and may be used as a cleaner in place of anywhere you would use store-bought vinegar.

Hi Mary, This is Jennifer Graf, I think that I ordered from you the stuff(extra) for my 3qt. instant pot. The extra inner stainless pot, the three sealing rings and the others that you recommended. A total of $52.02. Do you have any idea when I should receive those pieces? I’m so sorry to bother you.
Hi Jennifer, I donโt sell anything on my website. I am guessing that you simply clicked on one of my recommended links. Did you order from Amazon? If so, you would need to contact them to find out when your order will arrive. Love, Maryโค๏ธ๐คโค๏ธ
