How to Make a Traditional Foods Preparedness Plan
In today’s vodcast, I chat about How to Make a Traditional Foods Preparedness Plan. I talk about the foods we want to have on hand in our Prepper Pantry, and I also discuss the importance of a well-stocked medicinal herb medicine cabinet.
These conversational vodcasts are available to the Kitchen Pioneers who have joined my YouTube membership communityโThe Traditional Foods Kitchen Academy.

No Traditional Foods Preparedness Plan?
While you’re progressing on your journey from a processed foods kitchen to a Traditional Foods Kitchen, did you find yourself unprepared for the recent harsh weather that swept across Texas and most of the United States this February?
If so, I understand completely! Even though I pride myself on always being prepared with traditional nutrient-dense foods for any emergency, even I was caught off guard by the weeklong ice, snow, bone-chilling temperatures, power outages, and water shortages in Central Texas!
I’ve learned a lot, and I am here to share with you what we can all do to make sure that we always have plenty of nutrient-dense foods on hand even when we may have not electricity, water, or a way to get to the grocery store.
Here’s a video that I made right in the middle of our terrible Texas Weather in February 2021.
The Traditional Home
When it comes to having a Traditional Foods Kitchen, we need to keep in mind that the kitchen truly is the heart of the home. And it is from our kitchens that our philosophy for a natural and wholesome lifestyle flows into all aspects of our home.
In that vein, when it comes to being prepared for any emergency, we want to make sure that our Prepper Pantry is well stocked with nutrient-dense foods. As part of our traditional foods preparedness, we also want to make sure that we have natural home remedies on hand to cope with common illnesses, such as colds, flu, digestive upset, and minor injuries, including cuts, scrapes, and bruises.
