How Your Prepper Pantry Can Help During Grocery Shortages
I’d like to receive more tips and recipes from Mary’s Nest.
I was happy to chat with my sweet Kitchen Pioneers during last month’s live stream on December 15, 2021. Among the topics, we talked about the roast goose I made for the holidays and about the grocery shortages we’ve encountered at our supermarket.
This live stream replay is available to Kitchen Pioneers who have joined my YouTube membership communityโThe Traditional Foods Kitchen Academy.

Roast Goose and Bone Broth
It was so much fun sharing with you a preview of how I roasted a goose to make a holiday meal in honor of the dinner Mrs. Cratchit made in A Christmas Carol book. I roasted and prepared the goose with a Port Wine Cherry Sauce and Sage and Onion Stuffing.
Afterward, I gathered all the scraps to create a delicious goose bone broth, and I used the bone broth to make a goose barley soup. Yes. It’s unusual to use goose bone broth as the liquid base, but my sweet husband said it was some of the best barley soup he ever enjoyed!
Encountering Grocery Shortages
For most of our live chat, we shared our experiences encountering so many different grocery shortages at our local supermarket. I was surprised to see so many empty shelves in the canned good aisle, which I learned is attributed to an aluminum shortage.
The scarcity of some items can be worrisome, but fortunately, many of us talked about how we’ve built up our Prepper Pantries over time. And when we can’t find foods because of grocery shortages, we’ve been able to rely on the backup supplies from our Prepper Pantries.
Create Your Prepper Pantry
If you haven’t had a chance to create a Prepper Pantry, it’s not too late. In the following videos, I talk about why you need a Prepper Pantry and how you can stock your pantry with real food and on a budget.
Start creating your Prepper Pantry now so you and your family can be prepared for any grocery shortages in the future.
