Top 10 Costco Healthy Foods Video
In today’s video, I share with you why shopping at Costco is always a welcome adventure, especially when I’m looking for nutritious, high-quality foods to stock in my traditional foods kitchen. Over the years, I’ve found that Costco continues to expand its selection of wholesome options, making it easier than ever for those of us who are traditional foods home cooks to fill our pantry, fridge, and freezer with real, nourishing foods at great prices.
While I love making things from scratch, I also believe in Multiple Streams of Food—having backups on hand for busy days, travel, or times when life just gets in the way of homemade cooking. That’s why I focus on finding nutrient-dense, minimally processed foods that align with a traditional diet—so I always have healthy choices ready to go!

Top 10 Costco Healthy Foods
When it comes to stocking a healthy, traditional foods kitchen, Costco has so many fabulous finds—and I love sharing my favorite picks with you! While I always focus on making homemade meals, I also believe in keeping nutrient-dense, high-quality convenience foods on hand for busy days. In this list, I’m sharing my Top 10 Costco Healthy Foods that I love to keep in my kitchen. These foods will help you stay prepared, eat well, and never feel caught off guard when life gets hectic!
1. Nuts, Seeds, and Nut Butters for Easy, Nutrient-Dense Snacks
Costco has an exceptional selection of nuts and seeds, and I picked up a variety this time: mixed dry-roasted nuts, shelled pistachios, and sprouted pumpkin seeds. Why do I love these products? Having shelled nuts on hand makes them easy to grab for a quick snack, and the sprouted pumpkin seeds are even better—since they’re already sprouted, they’re easier to digest and more nutrient-dense!
I also grabbed almond butter and NuttZo, a mixed nut and seed butter that’s packed with a variety of wholesome ingredients. These products are perfect for spreading on sourdough, adding to oatmeal, or using in homemade energy bites. And for a touch of natural sweetness, I found Smash Blueberry Jam, made with chia seeds! Chia seeds help naturally thicken the jam and provide a boost of omega-3s and fiber, making this Costco product so much better than conventional jams filled with refined sugars. (If you’re looking for a delicious homemade low-sugar jam, I’ve got you covered!)
2. Meat Sticks for a Quick Protein Boost
Having high-quality protein on hand is so important, and these meat sticks from Chompers and Archer make it easy to get a protein-rich snack without questionable ingredients. These are made with grass-fed beef and natural seasonings, making them a much better choice than conventional convenience snacks.
3. Organic Canned Beans for Quick, Nourishing Meals
I love keeping chickpeas and black beans in my pantry because they’re so versatile. While I often cook beans from scratch, I believe in having backup options on hand for busy days. These canned beans are organic, budget-friendly, and perfect for making quick soups, stews, or homemade hummus!
4. No-Sugar Granola for a Wholesome Breakfast
Can we make homemade granola? Sure! I share my favorite granola recipe with you so you can stock your pantry any time.
But in keeping with my belief that we should always have Multiple Streams of Food on hand, I was so excited to find two high-quality granola options: Seven Sundays No-Sugar Granola and Purely Elizabeth Original Granola (sweetened only with low-glycemic coconut sugar). Finding granola without refined sugar is tricky, so these are a terrific option for those who love granola but want to avoid excess sweeteners. Sprinkle it on homemade yogurt for a delicious and nourishing breakfast!
5. Par-Baked Real Sourdough Bread—So Convenient!
Yes, I love making homemade sourdough, but sometimes life gets busy! That’s why I picked up par-baked sourdough bread. It comes in a 3-pack for around $3 per loaf, and you simply finish baking it at home. This product is a convenient option for those days when I haven’t had time to bake but still want to serve real, fermented sourdough.
6. Garlic & Jalapeño Stuffed Olives for a Flavorful, Nutrient Boost
I love incorporating tasty pickled foods into my diet, and these garlic and jalapeño stuffed olives are an easy way to enjoy the heart-healthy benefits of olives while also receiving the immune-supporting power of garlic! These make a fantastic addition to salads, cheese boards, or as a simple snack on their own, especially during cold and flu season or anytime the sniffles strike!
7. Vacuum-Packed Beets – A Nutrient Powerhouse
Beets are excellent for circulation because they help the body produce nitric oxide, which supports healthy blood flow. I love fresh beets and home-canned pickled beets, but these vacuum-packed beets at Costco are exceptional because they’re ready to eat—no peeling or cooking required! You can easily add them to salads or blend them into smoothies for a nutrient-dense boost.
8. Organic Raisins – A Pantry Must-Have
Costco offers two 2-pound packages of organic raisins at an unbeatable price, making it a superb deal for a natural sweetener that can be used in oatmeal, baking—including homemade granola bars—or a homemade trail mix. Raisins are rich in antioxidants and natural energy-boosting sugars, making them a tasty snack for kids and adults alike.
9. Individual Guacamole and Avocado Packs—No More Browning!
These products are some of my new favorites! And they will be yours too if you love avocados but dislike how quickly they can over-ripen and turn brown.
I love making homemade guacamole, but I have to say these single-serving Smashed Avocado packs are so convenient because they stay fresh without turning brown. They’re perfect for busy days when I want to enjoy a bit of guacamole but don’t want to make a big batch.
The single-serving avocado packs are perfect for adding a bit of avocado to a meal without worrying about using up a whole one before it spoils. Best of all, one individual pack is ideal for adding to homemade mayonnaise for added flavor and extra nutrition.
10. Organic Whole Milk Yogurt Made from A2 Milk
One of my favorite finds at Costco is organic whole milk yogurt made from A2 milk, which comes from cows that naturally produce only the A2 type of beta-casein protein. Because A2 milk can be easier to digest for some people compared to conventional A1 milk, it’s grown in popularity. This yogurt made from A2 milk is rich, creamy, and packed with probiotics, making it a beneficial choice for supporting gut health.
I love enjoying this yogurt on its own, stirring in some organic raisins or no-sugar granola, or using it as a base for smoothies and homemade dips. And because it’s made from whole milk, this yogurt is full of those good, healthy fats that our traditional diets have always valued. This product is a must-have in my fridge when life gets busy and I run out of my homemade yogurt!
Costco Healthy Foods Bonus Finds
In addition to my top 10 finds, I have a few bonus healthy products to share with you.
Fresh Greens and Aged Cheeses
I grabbed a pound of fresh baby spinach for under $5—a great deal for nutrient-rich greens! Unfortunately, leafy greens like spinach, kale, chard, sorrel, and beet greens are high in oxalates, which can bind to minerals and potentially contribute to kidney stones. But here’s where traditional food wisdom helps out!
Traditional cultures already knew how to balance these types of foods. They paired oxalate-rich greens with dairy, so in addition to the spinach, I also picked up Parmesan Reggiano and Pecorino Romano cheeses. The calcium in the cheese binds to the oxalates, preventing them from affecting the body. This is why so many classic dishes combine greens with cheese—like creamed spinach or spinach quiche!
Immunity Shots
Next, I picked up a new product called Immunity Shots—made with orange juice, ginger, and turmeric for a quick immune-boosting drink. And they tasted great when I tried one on camera in today’s video!
Chicken Bone Broth
I then spied refrigerated chicken bone broth, which was also made with immune-boosting ginger and turmeric. To my pleasant surprise, it was wonderfully gelatinous! Yes, homemade bone broth is cheaper, but I believe in keeping multiple streams of food on hand in case of illness or emergencies.
But Where Is The Butter?
Oh, I love that Costco carries Kerrygold butter—it’s an outstanding option for grass-fed, high-quality butter, and I know many of my sweet friends love picking this butter at Costco.
However, I’ve found that my local H-E-B grocery store frequently has a better price on Kerrygold, so that’s where I usually stock up. And if you live in Texas, you know how fantastic H-E-B is! They have such amazing deals on so many wholesome, real-food ingredients. I love supporting a store that truly cares about quality.
That said, I always make sure my freezer is well-stocked with butter from grass-fed cattle, because—as I always say—everyone sleeps better when they have at least 9 pounds of butter in their freezer! 😂
Butter is an essential ingredient in my kitchen. I use it for everything from baking a flaky spelt flour pie crust to sautéing vegetables and, of course, spreading generously on warm homemade bread. So whether I’m buying Kerrygold or another grass-fed butter, I always make sure to have plenty on hand. Because, really, can you ever have too much butter? I think not!
Why Costco Foods Belong in a Traditional Foods Kitchen
Can you make many of these foods at home? Absolutely! But life gets busy, and I always encourage having backups so we don’t fall into the trap of making poor food choices when we’re short on time.
By stocking up on wholesome, high-quality convenience foods, we can stay nourished even on our busiest days! At Costco, we can find these foods for great prices—and I am saying this sincerely because this is NOT a sponsored post—I just like shopping at Costco.
I’d love to hear from you! What are your favorite healthy Costco finds? Let me know in the comments!
